Cartridges commonly reloaded with this powder include 10mm automatic, .38 Special, .40 Smith & Wesson, and 9mm for pistols.

In addition to high performance for pistols, this powder has the ability to yield outstanding heavy field loadings in 10, 12, 20, and 28 gauge. Sold in 1- and 8-pound containers, this powder is identical to the discontinued Winchester .540 powder.
