Instead of trying to post daily on Facebook, Instagram, or Reddit (I will still post on X since there is free speech there) I will be posting updates here more often. Why? Due to the fact that either Facebook or other platforms are flagging firearm and ammo related posts or anti gun individuals or groups reporting our posts and causing us to be put in "Facebook Jail" for several days or a month. I heard they started using AI in December of 2023 to detect anything that is in possible violation to their rules. This blocks us from posting or restricts our post for the duration of the jail (restricted) time. This happens even though we have proof we are a license firearms dealer. Eventually the page will be removed from the platform if there are too many violations. They ignore the fact that most illegal activity happens in privates groups and messenger.
Another issue is even though we have thousands of followers on Facebook only a few hundred actually see our posts in their news feed. Facebook, Instagram and others limit post from pages like ours. The only way for those 1000's of followers to see our posts would be to go to our Facebook page daily. Well since this is the case and appears as though there is no hope of any changes in the future we decided to use this method instead.
FYI: 2024 has been a hard year so far for firearms related posts on Facebook and Instagram. Gun Owners Of Maine has been hit hard and is in danger of losing their Facebook group page. I have been hit several times with violations since December. We will have to use pages like this, Blogs, Forums, or other Social Media platforms that are far less popular but do not have the restrictions META platforms have.

What will be posted here?
Updates on shipments, changes in hours (Google is the best place to look), price changes, policy changes, gun related news, or anything else that the owner feels is important. All without social media limiting our free speech.

FFL TRANSFER FEES HAVE BEEN UPDATED SEE THE FFL TRANSFER PAGE

I will be closed on most Saturdays but appointments can be made if you know what you want see the appointment page also​. I have happy to announce I will be a grandfather in July. No I have a my grandparents house to get ready for the new family by the end of May. I will have many meeting with contractors and doing much work myself. I will only be a 2 or 3 miles from the shop. I have to have weekends to do any work. If I am open on a Saturday my day is gone most do not realize the paperwork involved after I close on a Saturday. I only have Sunday off and a lot of times I am in here working on Sunday also when I am open on a Saturday.

THE BEST THIS TO DO IT ALWAYS CHECK MY BUSINESS HOURS ON GOOGLE. I might post on Facebook, X, or on here or the hours page but GOOGLE WILL ALWAYS BE UPDATED.

FYI  MY PHONE NUMBER IS CHANGING TO A DIFFERENT CARRIER. I HARDLY EVER USE 207-848-4995. Most customers email me or use my text number posted on this website. Well 207-848-4995 will be a mobile text number also starting this week. I have to get everything set up which may take a few days. You can still call it but it will no longer be a landline. My phones in the shop will be removed. I could not pay over $100 dollars a month for a phone I never used. I wanted to keep the number and have it active for text messages and calling out. Answering calls is VERY hard for me as I am one person and I have a lot to manage. Email and test works great for me and my responses are generally quick.

FYI, Consolidated was charging me over 100 a month for my landline. I just added my business number to my cellphone for $10 a month so now I have two business numbers that can be used for text messaging. I still have not set up any voice mail message on my business number. I prefer customers use text or email. I have a Blocker on my phone so it only rings when people on my contacts list call. I did not know but this applies to my business number as well and there's no way to change that. At least that I found. I get so many potential spam calls that I can't have my phone ringing all day and all night especially with two phone numbers. I am going to keep that setting unless something changes. As you know I have hardly any time to answer the phone anyways.

Still working on a finding a contractor to do other work including foundation, insulating, windows, roofing, and interior work. VERY difficult to get anyone to get back to you! Very frustrating.

FYI - A customer was in the shop yesterday and he was showing me a bullet hole above his rear tire of his truck. Someone took two shots at him in a road rage incident near the Carmel exit on 95. The State Police are investigating.

The Gen 3 line is being reduced from 45 skus between US and Austrian made, it is going to 19.

​Check Google for hours as some mornings I may open at 10am or 10:30am. I have my grandparents house I'm still in the process of renovating for my daughter. It is located just down the road a couple miles but there are mornings that I have to meet with electrician (Carmichael Electric), and plumber (Nason's Plumbing). Sometimes they are not there until 9:30. I'm hoping it will be done by the end of May. Always check Google. The website is still being updated throughout the day. I am still working on trying to get a foundation company and carpenter to get back to me on a quote for repairs. They look at it and nothing. I've been through I don't know how many.  I'm lucky to have found who I have right now. They are good guys.

Lots going on between the house renovation, baby on the way, and my wife's family dealing will severe illness. This year is going to be a rough one. I will keep Google up to date to reflect current hours. I have been opening at 10am due to having to meet with contractors. I am closed on the weekends for now. Appointments can be made if available. I had an issue with the filter option on the website. Not being able to scroll down to see all options on Android. There are always issues with Android or Apple that pop up if you see anything let me know. You should be able to scroll through all options now. I have almost 40k in ammo in stock use the filter options to see what I have in stock in your caliber.

STILL WORKING ON RENOVATING A HOUSE FOR MY DAUGHTER. I had to fire the carpenter I had. I am now fixing all the things he screwed up which is pretty much everything. 2300+ dollars down the drain. I am fixing everything myself I am not paying someone to do it. I will be looking for someone else to do roofing, windows, and Sheetrock / plaster repair. I can do most everything myself however I need the house atleast livable by the end of may. I am closing at 4pm so I can work on the house in the evenings. I may have to open at 10am some mornings when the plumber, electrician, or the future carpenter arrives at 8 or 9 in the morning.,

STILL WORKING ON RENOVATING A HOUSE FOR MY DAUGHTER. I will be looking for someone else to possibly install windows and repair the foundation. I can do most everything myself however I need the house atleast livable ASAP. I supposed to have it done by the end of May but that is not happening. I am working on the bathroom and kitchen right now. They are the most time consuming. I am closing at 4pm so I can work on the house in the evenings. I work there 7 days a week! I may have to open at 10am some mornings if the plumber or electrician arrives at 8 or 9 in the morning. This is not happening that often now since they are almost done. Maybe one day a week. I always update hours on Google if that is the case. If I open 5 or 10 minutes late I don't bother. If my Trail Boss is in the yard you will know I will be opening in a few minutes. My hours are Noon-4pm Mon / 9-4pm Tue-Fri Closed Sat and Sun.

Prvi Partizan, Zastava Problems: Serbia Shuts Down Ammo, Gun Exports

​

Following some diplomatic blowback, the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced this week that the country was halting all arms exports. 

The announcement, delivered both by Vucic in an interview and a statement from the Serbian Ministry of Defense, lays out that all exports of weapons and military equipment manufactured in Serbia are suspended. Any future exports would require, "in addition to the consent of other competent ministries and agencies, the consent of the National Security Council."

The move comes as Serbia is catching heat from longtime ally Russia over munitions from the Balkan country appearing in Ukraine, possibly via third-party sources. This is exacerbated by reports that Belgrade also sold some 42.3 million euros' worth of arms to Israel. Iran, currently involved in a high-profile war with Israel, is a key Russian ally in the Middle East. 

According to the most recent statistics from federal regulators, American importers brought in 53,096 firearms from Serbia in 2024, including 18,850 handguns and 34,246 rifles. This represents the 16th highest total firearms imported from any country, falling just behind Finland (59,098 firearms from brands such as Tikka) and Portugal (56,363 firearms, with an FN-owned factory in Viana do Castelo making rifles under the Browning and Winchester brands for the U.S. market). 

The news could have adverse effects on a couple of well-known brands in gun stores here in the States. 

Chief among Serbia's firearms manufacturers is Zastava Arms, the historic government-owned gun concern located in Kragujevac, about 90 miles from Belgrade. Long tied to importers such as Century Arms to bring their products into the U.S., Zastava formed an Illinois-based American subsidiary in 2019, expanding its footprint. Last year's firearm import figures from Serbia show a more than 13 percent bump from the 46,799 firearms brought in from the country in 2020.

Zastava specializes in PAP series Kalashnikov variants and is one of the chief makers of European-made AKs on the American market. For reference, Romanian-made Romarm/Cugir/Nova Modul AKs imported by Century under the Draco and WASR names, along with Bulgarian-made Arsenal brands, trail Zastava significantly in terms of quantity imported. Total firearm imports from Romania in 2024 amounted to 47,310 firearms, while those from Bulgaria numbered just 12,066. Polish-made guns marketed under brands including FB Radom and Pioneer totaled 30,090 in the same year.

Meanwhile, Prvi Partizan, based in Uzice, Serbia, is a huge manufacturer of ammunition and handloading components that have long been available to American consumers. Founded in 1928, PPU currently loads more than 160 types of rifle and handgun ammunition, many in obsolete or uncommon calibers, and was listed as the third-largest foreign ammo supplier to the U.S. a few years ago. 

Several in-house brands for big box sporting goods stores often repackage PPU ammo, meaning consumers who are used to brands such as Monarch may soon find empty shelf space. 

To be sure, even if the metaphorical export "pipes" from Serbia shut down immediately, each company's U.S. concerns likely still have deep stocks on hand already – a side effect of recent beef-ups over updates in tariffs – as well as containers waiting to clear customs, so a shortage may not be felt for weeks. However, should the pipes remain shut, that could change.

Looking for a private or public location for my youngest daughter to get married. Not looking for a venue. We are trying to save money and she wants it to happen in the next few months.  I will be the photographer. There maybe private gardens or locations that maybe perfect for a low key wedding.

My daughter is getting married this Saturday. My mother in law is VERY ill and requiring 24/7 care we pray she can be around to see the wedding. I am still working 7 days a week if possible on a house remodel for my oldest daughter. I have been working at my youngest daughters house some also. I have work at our house and camp to do but no time to do it. I have not had a vacation or gone to camp this year only work that is it. I have a lot going on and I am not sure when I will be able to extend my hours at this time.  My wife and I have all we can do right now to maintain our jobs. My hours are always up to date on Google.
